Policies are one of the hardest things to know if you should put into place when you are running a company. Usually, the policies are set before there is a problem, but something always comes up the standard policies never cover. I believe that policies are great if there is a problem that needs to be solved. With policies though you have to make sure they don’t go against Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination based on national origin, religion, and other grounds. This can cause a lawsuit in the workplace that can result in large amounts of time and money.

The repercussion for breaking these policies can be totally up to the manager or the policy of the company it’s self. When running into a situation when a policy is broke, you need to make sure nothing is violating the employee before actions can be taken out on them.
